What is the Immortelle Children's Centre?
Immortelle Children’s Centre is a cornerstone of inclusive, holistic support for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago. The Centre provides tailored education, individualized therapy, and life skills training in a nurturing, and supportive environment. It is the only institution in the area that accepts learners with multiple, moderate to severe disabilities. Immortelle serves individuals from ages 4 through adulthood.
Immortelle Children’s Centre offers a wide range of services, including:
A multidisciplinary curriculum that covers academic subjects (such as mathematics, language arts, and science), life skills (including dressing and basic cooking), and vocational training.
Therapeutic services, including music therapy and occupational therapy.
Community integration initiatives that support students with developmental disabilities in participating in events and special programs, such as swimming and therapeutic horseback riding.
How will my contributions make a difference?
-
Repair Vital Infrastructure
Immortelle serves as a vital community hub, supporting a range of impactful initiatives. However, the building that houses these efforts is in urgent need of essential repairs. Our goal is to restore and maintain this space by allocating funds to address critical needs such as roof repairs, air conditioning units, refrigerators, restroom facilities, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
-
New Playground
Play is essential to a child’s development, and few spaces encourage play more effectively than a well-designed playground. Currently, the children of Immortelle do not have access to a functional playground. Our goal is to help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive play space that future generations of children can enjoy for years to come.

Enriching Student Experience
Providing therapeutic tools that align with the diverse learning styles of children is essential for their development and effective learning. Our goal is to enhance their educational experience by acquiring new stationery supplies, classroom desks, and rehabilitation resources such as Theraputty, sensory equipment, fine motor tools, and assistive devices.
